Oprah the Incredulous

In a move that will shock and stun very few of us, Oprah (the daytime diva) has pronounced Governor Palin as not worthy of an appearance on her daytime pet-a-thon. To Oprah we all say “thanks!” Like the liberal media’s course treatment of Governor Palin she is helping to unify the G.O.P. base and prove that her party of choice and candidate of choice (Obama by-the-way has been on her show twice since 2005) are divided, crumbling, and hypocrits.

Will Oprah and the media’s treatment of Palin have an unintended impact?

In a move that will shock and stun very few of us, Oprah (the daytime diva) has pronounced Governor Palin as not worthy of an appearance on her daytime pet-a-thon. To Oprah we all say “thanks!” Like the liberal media’s course treatment of Governor Palin she is helping to unify the G.O.P. base and prove that her party of choice and candidate of choice (Obama by-the-way has been on her show twice since 2005) are divided, crumbling, and hypocrits.

Oprah along with her comrades in the liberal media will send more Hillary voters to the G.O.P., and more independent women as they recognize the hypocrisy that the liberal left and the media is known for. To that we on the right all say “Thank You!”

Meanwhile Obama continues to flip-flop like an IHOP waffle; just yesterday he admitted that he would commit troops to further fighting should he become president and that the surge has worked. The junior senator forgets that America is a center-right country and that credibility does not come from the chapters of a book, but from consistent action and measurable deliverables.

So we welcome the continued slamming of Governor Palin (whom Gloria Steinam recently called her “chromosome”). I would guess Governor Palin would tell Oprah to forget the couch and invite her to go hunting instead. I would pay for a seat at that camp fire.

The liberal left doesn’t understand the average working man and woman, doesn’t understand their day-to-day struggles or values. For this reason, they will not prevail in this election. Governor Palin and Senator McCain not only understand those values, they share them. The American public wants a president who understands them, not just and empty suit who gives an eloquent speech. For these reasons, I believe American voters will elect the McCain-Palin ticket as the 44th Administration to the presidency.

I look forward to Obama’s next appearance on Oprah after the election and when he returns to the U.S. Senate and has to face Hillary.

  1. Oprah does not run a news organization. She has a talk show so she can “talk” to whomever she wants.

Palin has not been attacked. Questions from the media are not attacks. But Republicans call it that so they can duck the press. I saw the interview Campbell Brown had with Tucker Bounds, McCain’s strategist. Bounds would not answer her question about Palin’s experience. She didn’t mistreat him. If anything, I thought Brown was too nice because he insulted her by suggesting she was belittling Palin’s record when she simply asked the same questions and he refused to answer. So now McCain won’t interview on CNN. That goes to show that the Republicans don’t want to disclose everything to the American people. Palin knew this when she accepted the nomination. If she can’t handle it, she should have turned it down. Obama and Hillary faced lots of questions in the past year. And Palin needs to face them too because we’re talking about leading the U.S., not a state that has more moose than people.

There is absolutely no reason to believe the Republicans would benefit the average worker. They are about protecting the rich and exploiting religious fundamentalists to help them achieve this goal.

Let me just point something out to you regarding Palin’s resume. Palin was part of PTA, City Council, was mayor of a town around 9000 people, and is the governor of a state that has less than a million people, for less than 2 years. She has no post-grad degree. She attended community college and other schools before graduating at the University of Idaho. Community college is just that, for everyone in the community. A person with this background is not qualified to be President, which is the question that must be ask because McCain is 72 and had cancer 4 times. She’s seems intelligent, but she is not nearly on the same level as Obama.

Obama has a degree from Columbia University and a J.D. from Harvard. He’s been a community organizer, which is important because I wouldn’t be able to vote if it weren’t for them. He was a civil rights lawyer, professor who taught constitutional law, state legislature and U.S. Senate. He has served on several committees where he’s gained valuable experience with foreign policy.

  2. Thank you in advance for proving my point about Oprah and her candidate Barack Hussein Obama (a.k.a. Mr. Fabulous). It is clear from your opinion that you disagree completely with the Founding Fathers and thier design for our democratic government. In other words, all members of this country have the opportunity to achieve success, leadership, and service to our country. Such service is found in many forms: PTA, Boy & Girl Scouts, local & state government, non-profits, etc… Clearly, this is something you have not grasped or forgotten in your zeal to move past these and other facts relating to Governor Palin and experience.

I have provided the links above for you to review the life, history, and education of four American figures that have shaped this country. They are Frederick Douglass, U.S. Grant, Woodrow Wilson, and Ronald W. Reagan. All four who have had vastly different educations and have used their innate talents to show leadership and service to our country. I presume you will see that a community college degree or a degree from Harvard does not grant you immediate credibility to lead. It is the person herself who must possess this and clearly Governor Palin does and has practiced this leadership many times. Obama simply has not. He has not sponsored a major piece of legisaltion that has been signed in to law in his three years in the senate. Nor has he held one hearing on his Foregin Affairs sub committee on European Affairs. The Chairman of the Foreign Affairs committee is his running mate, Joe Biden. This Abbott & Costello team are totally unqualified to run this country on this score alone.

As for the “Daytime Diva” she is a hypocrite! Period! Oprah has had Obama on her show twice (2005, 2006). While he has not been on since he announced in 2007. I believe that Oprah is a brand name. She is recognized on and off the TV screen. Just ask the children and their parents in the horribly run experiment of her So. African Girls School. We are talking about the same Oprah who this year during the primaries appeared on stage with Caroline Kennedy, Michelle Obama in a campaign rally for the junior senator from Illinois.

Your argument does not pass the smell test. Vote for who you want to. But get the facts straight! And stop trying to let them get in the way of a good story. America deserves better than hypocrisy and duplicitousness.
