Will Oprah and the media’s treatment of Palin have an unintended impact?
By Mark R. Smith
In a move that will shock and stun very few of us, Oprah (the daytime diva) has pronounced Governor Palin as not worthy of an appearance on her daytime pet-a-thon. To Oprah we all say “thanks!” Like the liberal media’s course treatment of Governor Palin she is helping to unify the G.O.P. base and prove that her party of choice and candidate of choice (Obama by-the-way has been on her show twice since 2005) are divided, crumbling, and hypocrits.
Oprah along with her comrades in the liberal media will send more Hillary voters to the G.O.P., and more independent women as they recognize the hypocrisy that the liberal left and the media is known for. To that we on the right all say “Thank You!”
Meanwhile Obama continues to flip-flop like an IHOP waffle; just yesterday he admitted that he would commit troops to further fighting should he become president and that the surge has worked. The junior senator forgets that America is a center-right country and that credibility does not come from the chapters of a book, but from consistent action and measurable deliverables.
So we welcome the continued slamming of Governor Palin (whom Gloria Steinam recently called her “chromosome”). I would guess Governor Palin would tell Oprah to forget the couch and invite her to go hunting instead. I would pay for a seat at that camp fire.
The liberal left doesn’t understand the average working man and woman, doesn’t understand their day-to-day struggles or values. For this reason, they will not prevail in this election. Governor Palin and Senator McCain not only understand those values, they share them. The American public wants a president who understands them, not just and empty suit who gives an eloquent speech. For these reasons, I believe American voters will elect the McCain-Palin ticket as the 44th Administration to the presidency.
I look forward to Obama’s next appearance on Oprah after the election and when he returns to the U.S. Senate and has to face Hillary.
