Marks maintains tough stance on illegals

Todd Marks, candidate for Florida’s State House of Representatives, District 57 has consistently called for a “get tough” on immigration policy. Marks who faces a tough three-way GOP Primary in August has been called “the most conservative candidate” in the race by the St. Petersburg Times.

Mark’s stance is one of enforcement of existing laws, and if those laws are not enforced by the feds, state governments should do their part. As a nation of laws, it is imperative that we enforce those laws — and our borders. If the first thing someone does upon entering this country is to break a law, they should be penalized and deported and told to stand in line and wait for legal access as thousands of immigrants to this country do every year. Equally, employers should be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law when employing illegal immigrants. Both sides are breaking the law! As a nation of laws, we must enforce them. Allowing a group of people or businesses to ignore the law sends the wrong message.

Marks has a new web video on the subject of immigration reform which can be seen by clicking here.

Keep up the good work Mr. Marks!

Crist’s ridiculous drill ban

Charlie “pander-pants” Crist has called for a special session of the legislature to consider a constitutional amendment to ban oil drilling off the coast. This is vintage Charlie testing which way the winds of public sentiment are going. He’s been for and against offshore drilling several times. This latest move will cost Florida taxpayers several hundreds of thousands of dollars (cost of the special session) and is completely meaningless as the state’s authority to ban drilling is limited to just a few miles off the coast and is already covered by existing laws and regulations. Charlie of course figures the voting public is too stupid and unsophisticated to recognize the effort is superfluous. And he’s right.

See ya’ in the Senate Chuckles.

  1. Someone should check out a BIG friend and “helper” of these corrupt men who helped others get into places they otherwise would NOT get into…..some worked the Marion GOP where citizens brought support money- and some of us learned MANY of the checks(I was told they were cashier’s checks that ANYONE’S name could be put on) that was said to go to people as a thank you (why I never found out why- but a few that worked there made out big. I will never give again until ALL of these are out of their positions. It is a disgrace that many stopped for this reason….also quit the REC for his getting involved with the elections for REC that had stopped some good Republicans from becoming members????? Stafford Jones, Gainesville) and a few hand picked women??????

Thanks and God Bless you all for the good work you do .

  2. that was kind of hard to follow. don’t be so cryptic. If you know about corruption, let it out so we can clean it up and move forward.

  3. Chris: I suggest that you do your own research and not rely on the St. Pete Times to tell you who the most conservative candidate is in District 57… I strongly suggest that you become acquainted with Dana Young, who has mounted a impressive grass roots organization and has out fundraised all of her competitors.
We need someone who can defeat Stacy Frank… Todd Marks can’t do that!

How about really comparing the conservative record between Dana Young and Todd Marks.

  4. Mike,

Instead of these platitudes and telling me that I somehow have not capably come to my own conclusion, why don’t you demonstrate to me and my readers why you think Dana is more conservative?
