(copy of letter to Rep. Kathy Castor)
December 11, 2010
Representative Kathy Castor
US House of Representatives
317 Cannon HOB
Washington DC 20515
Dear Rep. Castor:
I am extremely disturbed by what I read in this week’s St. Petersburg Times (click to read) and on ABC Action News (click to view) that the United States government is compromising and bartering with the interests of Odyssey Marine Exploration with the nation of Spain over a piece of artwork that is completely unrelated to Odyssey.
As a constituent of yours and a small stockholder of Odyssey, I call on you to call for congressional hearings to get the facts of this issue, and to defend the interests of O.M.E.
The unrelated interests in this matter should have never crossed paths, and the government of the United States of America should be working to preserve the interests of Odyssey – not sacrifice them.
Please advise me of your intent to call for congressional hearings.
Cc: Senator Bill Nelson
Congressman Gus Bilirakis
Odyssey Marine Exploration
